Midwifery Care

We provide comprehensive midwifery care throughout all of your pregnancy. Care starts whenever you are ready and is concluded at about 6 weeks postpartum. We can provide all healthy/normal check-ups for both mama and baby during that time.

Education is of utmost importance and we strive to provide tools, information and resources all throughout your care so that you can make the right decisions for your family. We stress the importance of nutrition for growing a healthy baby thus optimizing the chances of a smooth, natural delivery.

Our prenatal appointments are not rushed. We will take time to address any questions and concerns that you have. Truly informed choice is our specialty. During our appointments we spend time discussing the purposes for the tests, labs and treatments offered but do not bully you in making certain choices. We know that you are the best decision maker when it comes to your care.

Fees for Midwifery Services

Prenatal care and birth services can be expensive and cost tens of thousands of dollars for a basic vaginal hospital delivery. Understanding this, we strive to keep birth affordable to those seeking individualized and thoughtful care. We believe deeply in the quality of service we provide and work with parents to offer discounts, vouchers, coupons and payment plans to help make birth more affordable to the average family.

If you choose to pay for services through payments, please be advised that all payments must be received according to the timeline displayed in your contract. Although no interest will be charged should you choose to take advantage of our payment structure, you must remain in good financial standing in order for any coupons/vouchers beyond your cash pay discount to be applied to your account.

Please note that if you have a healthsharing or crowdsourcing type company to help with your medical expenses you will be provided with the same initial cash discount as cash-pay clients. However, vouchers/coupons for additional discounts may not apply.

Breastfeeding Support

Initial breastfeeding support is included in your midwifery care. Additional counseling may be available and/or a referral to additional counseling can be requested any time.

Breastfeeding can be one of the most emotionally challenging, yet rewarding experiences a mother ever has the privilege to accept. And along with the relationship that is built between mother and baby, your baby will receive the very best, complete nutrition possible.

The need that your new baby has to be breastfed goes far beyond the excellent nutrition. Your baby needs that time close to you. They need that touch, that skin-to-skin contact. They need to know that you are there to protect them. Your baby needs to hear your heartbeat, feel your warmth and bask in every close moment you give at the breast.

For you, breastfeeding should be a time for rest and relaxation, a time to take a break from the world around you and just enjoy the smell, touch and feel of your baby. This time of bonding is an amazing opportunity for both mother and baby.

Placenta Encapsulation

Placental Preservation is one of the best ways to help maintain good postpartum health. Having done it myself, and seen the difference it made, I am a believer in its benefits. I am often asked what my recommendations are for placenta processing. I usually suggest encapsulation and at least two tinctures. This is only an opinion, but I feel it allows you to enjoy benefits through the capsules soon after birth and have the tinctures to use long after the pills are gone. And as stated below tinctures last forever and can even be saved for menopause.

Options include...
Encapsulation $250
Encapsulation consists of drying and preserving the placenta in easy to swallow capsules. They are readily available to you when you need them and are taken to help maintain a balance of hormones in the weeks after birth. Using Sterile Technique to ensure health and safety, your placenta will be processed and returned swiftly, usually within 2-3 days.

Tinctures $40 each or $60 each without encapsulation
Tinctures are small glass containers filled with distilled liquid that has been used to extract the hormones and nutrients from the placenta through an aging process. The contents are potent and only a very small amount is needed to take effect. Tinctures can be used for maintaining good long term health for both you and your baby. They should be stored out of direct sunlight and last for years. They can even be saved and used as supplements during menopause. The process takes several weeks to complete but is well worth the wait. Once completed your tinctures will be delivered to you.

Raw Processing $200
Consuming placenta in its rawest form is simple and an easy way to receive the wonderful nutritional value that your placenta has to offer. Rinsing and cutting into bite sized pieces and placing in the freezer is very easy to do, but it is very time consuming. When your baby arrives it is important that you and your partner are available to focus on your baby's needs. We offer complete Raw Processing right in your home. We provide all supplies and will have your placenta in simple bite size pieces and in your freezer without you having to worry about a thing. These little pieces can be added to a meal, pureed in a smoothie, or eaten raw. It's up to you.
